This is not a role for someone who wants to watch from the sidelines. You will own the quality and craftsmanship of every unit you build, directly impacting the speed at which we bring critical energy infrastructure online.Where You'll WorkThis role will be based in our Houston office. You must be willing to work in the office full-time.We're onsite because velocity matters when you're building physical infrastructure. Solving complex problems in real-time with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Finance leaders is how we move faster than a slow, antiquated industry.ResponsibilitiesAssemble mechanical and electrical components, subassemblies, and finished units per engineering drawings, BOMs, and work instructionsRead and interpret technical drawings, assembly schematics, and documentation to ensure accurate and compliant buildsUse hand tools, power tools, torque wrenches, and measuring equipment to complete assemblies to specificationPerform visual inspections and basic functional checks prior to handoff to test and QCIdentify and communicate assembly defects, discrepancies, or design issues to engineering in real timeCollaborate with test and QC teams to ensure smooth product flow and strong first-pass yieldSupport continuous improvement initiatives on the assembly floorRequirements2+ years of experience in electromechanical or mechanical assembly in a manufacturing environmentDemonstrated ability to read and work from engineering drawings, BOMs, and assembly instructionsProficiency using hand tools, power tools, and precision measurement equipmentStrong attention to detail and workmanship standardsHigh school diploma or equivalentBonus PointsExperience with energy or power systems equipment (inverters, switchgear, battery systems, etc.)Technical trade certification or vocational training in a related fieldFamiliarity with electrical assembly including wiring, terminations, or harness buildingPrior experience in a high-growth startup or fast-paced manufacturing environmentBenefitsSubsidized health, dental, and vision insuranceEquity (options) in a rapidly growing startup401(k) with 4% employer matchUnlimited PTOParental leaveHealthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) or Health Savings Account (HSA)Commuter benefits, where applicableOpportunities to collaborate in person at periodic team and company on-sitesHow We WorkWe value people who take ownership, raise risks early, communicate directly, and follow through.
