Job TitleAssemble or fabricate mechanical parts, pieces or products using a variety of tools and equipment according to required specifications in a specific area of a production line in a manufacturing organization.Duties and ResponsibilitiesRead, interpret and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately assemble equipmentUtilize hand held tools such as a hand held screw and drill gunPerform quality work checks to insure the product meets quality standardsIdentify product defects and complete appropriate documentation when defects are identifiedRework and/or repair assembled equipment and products according to engineering specification changesPerform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety proceduresMaintain a clean and safe work areaQualificationsMust be able to follow directionsMust be able to comprehend basic math calculations and measurementsMust have basic knowledge of operations of hand toolsAbility to perform work accurately and thoroughlyAbility to use thinking and reasoning to solve a problem and to think in such a way as to produce a new concept or ideaHigh attention to detail and self-motivation skillsEducation and/or ExperienceHigh School Diploma or GED1-2 years relevant work experienceMust have a valid driver's license and able to operate all class C vehiclesPhysical DemandsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is required to stand and walk over 95% of work time. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Agility to bend to floor-level shelves and reach upper shelves (eight feet) with use of stool or ladder when necessary.
