Assembly TechnicianAs an Assembly Technician, you are responsible for the installation, integration, and verification of electrical and mechanical options on new machines prior to release. This role ensures all customer-specified options are installed correctly, function as intended, and meet quality and safety standards before shipment. Reporting through Manufacturing leadership, you support Assembly, Engineering, and Quality Control by executing disciplined option installs, validating functionality, and escalating issues when deviations or conflicts are identified. This position is critical to delivering complete, reliable machines while protecting schedule, quality, and customer confidence.Scope and Responsibilities: Essential duties include, but are not limited to the following:Install electrical and mechanical options on new machines per prints, schematics, and work instructionsRead and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical blueprints related to machine optionsRoute, terminate, and secure wiring and components in accordance with standards and safety requirementsInstall mechanical components, brackets, assemblies, and hardware associated with machine optionsVerify proper operation of installed options through functional checks and basic testingUse multimeters, indicators, and precision measuring tools to confirm correct installation and functionalityIdentify and correct installation issues related to fit, wiring, or component interactionPerform limited troubleshooting when installed options do not function as intendedEscalate design conflicts, missing documentation, or recurring issues to Engineering and supervisionEnsure all installed options meet quality, safety, and workmanship standardsDocument completion, issues, and corrections per established processesSupport Quality Control inspections related to option functionality and installation accuracyMaintain organized, clean, and safe work areas during option installation activitiesFollow all electrical safety practices, lockout procedures, and applicable codesEducation/Certification: Technical degree or equivalent hands-on experience in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Technology preferred. Demonstrated experience reading electrical schematics and mechanical drawings. Working knowledge of wiring practices, electrical components, and mechanical assembly methods.
Experience using hand tools, power tools, multimeters, and precision measuring devices. Manufacturing or machine-build experience strongly preferred.Skills: Electrical & Mechanical Installation – Skilled in installing and integrating electrical and mechanical options on new machines.
