Assembly Technician

Assembly TechnicianAn Assembly Technician oversees the daily flow of projects within the assembly area and is highly proficient with the use of equipment, materials and processes required to produce a quality product. The Assembly Technician ensures the safe, proper and timely completion of each job, and is able to work through project related issues with their team members. They gather, analyze and report on data and other miscellaneous tasks as required.A successful Assembly Technician communicates clearly and effectively with team members, is mindful of project updates and changes, and works effectively with their leader to ensure the success of all projects.

They proactively plan for upcoming work.Initiative to learn new skills, attention to detail, ability to multi-task, ability to problem solve and work through high stress situations is required.QualificationsPossess working knowledge and ability to use current technology & tools as it relates to manufacturingKnowledge and experience in the manufacturing industryAbility to prioritize and complete work within an acceptable time frameAbility to communicate effectively, both verbally and written, in EnglishPrimary ResponsibilitiesOversee day-to-day projects for assemblyAssemble and work with all types of materials and applicationsSpecific duties as assigned by Manager and/or DirectorProgressive knowledge of materials and their applicationsMaintain inventory needs specific to assemblyKeep and maintain accurate information related to project tracking on designated platformsMake recommendations for adjustments related to projectsEnsure quality and timeliness of scheduled projectsStrive for precision and accuracyKeep and maintain a clean and organized work areaFlexible with an ever evolving scope of workAid in project planning by understanding the wants and needs of the customer, suggesting applications that serve them bestFreely and openly communicate questions, changes and department concerns with Manager and/or Director to ensure project successAttend Manufacturing L10 meetings and meetings pertaining to assigned projectsParticipate and engage in meetings & trainings to help create synergy and a positive work environment, as well as, collect information pertinent to assemblyReport as needed on assignments given by Manager and/or DirectorProvide consistent verbal and written communication between yourself and coworkersContinually develop manufacturing abilities, interpersonal skills, communication and professional growth by experience in the field, cross training and researchSeek to understand industry materials and their applicationsFollow all procedures and protocols listed in the Employee Handbook
