Assembly SupervisorReports to: Deputy Operations ManagerWe are seeking a skilled and experienced Assembly Supervisor to oversee our assembly line operations. This role is responsible for ensuring production goals are achieved while maintaining high quality standards and optimizing workflow efficiency.The ideal candidate will bring hands-on fabrication experience, strong leadership capabilities, and a commitment to continuous improvement. The Assembly Supervisor will lead and support team members, resolve operational issues, and serve as a key communication link between the shop floor and management.Key ResponsibilitiesSafety & CompliancePromote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with safety policies and proceduresLead safety initiatives and enforce safe work practicesMaintain a clean and organized workspace aligned with 5S principlesProduction & QualityOversee daily assembly line operations to meet production targetsThrough hands on approach working with assemblers as needed.Ensure all door panels meet ASSA ABLOY quality standardsIdentify, address, and escalate quality issues as neededMonitor production schedules and adjust resources to meet deadlinesLeadership & Team DevelopmentLead, train, and mentor team members to ensure consistent performanceSupport onboarding and ongoing employee developmentCommunicate company goals, priorities, and operational updatesEnsure employees understand how decisions impact production targets, quality, and daily work activitiesOperations & Continuous ImprovementTroubleshoot operational and fabrication issues and provide technical supportCollaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to improve processes and reduce downtimeRecommend and implement process improvements to increase productivity and reduce wasteMaintain accurate records of production, maintenance, and employee performanceAdministrative & Employee ManagementMaintain accurate timekeeping and attendance recordsAddress employee concerns, resolve conflicts, and manage disciplinary actions when necessaryEnsure compliance with company policies and applicable regulationsPerform other duties as assignedRequired QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or associate degree in manufacturing or machining preferredMinimum 3 years of supervisory experience in a production environmentAbility to fabricate with industrial hand tools, read blueprints, and use precision measuring toolsExcellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environmentProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and standard manufacturing softwarePreferred QualificationsExperience with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement initiativesFamiliarity with ERP systems and production tracking softwareWorking knowledge of ISO standards and quality management systemsUnderstanding of machining operations, including milling and turningPhysical RequirementsAbility to stand and walk for up to 10 hours per day on a concrete factory floorAbility to lift 40+ pounds, including overhead liftingFrequent handling of 16’–21’ aluminum extrusionsRegular walking, reaching, and use of handsClose vision required for inspection and detail workWork EnvironmentManufacturing environment with exposure to moving mechanical parts and vehiclesModerate to high noise levelsClimate-controlled facility
