Assembly Packager
Global manufacturer of building products has full-time openings for Production/Process Operators to join our team. This role involves the packaging of vinyl siding and supporting line operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Ideal candidates will have a strong work ethic and a desire to learn, as there are opportunities for machine operation training and cross-training for career advancement.
Qualifications and Skill Requirements
- Must be self-motivated, able to work with minimal supervision and perform as part of a team
- Basic math skills and ability to use a calculator
- Able to stand on feet for entire 12 hour shift
Physical Requirements
- This job involves lifting long and awkward pieces of product, bending and reaching. Building is not temperate controlled: can be hot in the summer and cold in the winter.
Overall Job Duties
- Provide complete service support to production, lamination, and blending processes.
- Handle raw materials, packaging, stocking, banding, box making, and transporting finished goods.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare containers for filling, seal, and label filled containers.
- Label and document procedures accurately.
- Stack and band all containers on pallet racks.
- Assist machine operators on production lines and manage scrap.
- Maintain 6S standards (Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain, and Safety) on boards and checklists.
- Report equipment breakdowns and assist with storage and handling.
- Perform general material handling and packaging preparation as needed.
- Properly scan, label, band, and document all finished goods as required.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
