Assembly Operator V (Trainer) - Weekend Shift ArdenAt TE, you will unleash your potential working with people from diverse backgrounds and industries to create a safer, sustainable and more connected world.Job Overview: Operator V Trainers are subject matter experts (SMEs) responsible for leading training, certification, and advanced skill development. They drive consistency across teams and serve as a key link between production, quality, and engineering.Shift: Weekend: Fri-Sun, 7AM-7:30PM (22% Shift differential)Key Responsibilities:Training, Certification & SME LeadershipTrain, coach, and certify operators on products, processes, equipment, and inspection requirementsProvide hands-on instruction to support consistent execution of approved work instructionsMentor operators in advanced technical processes, troubleshooting, and quality standardsValidate operator skill development and certify readiness using skills matricesTraining System OwnershipSupport creation, review, and improvement of training materials, standard work, and visual aidsDocument training completion, competency observations, and qualification sign-offs accurately and on timeProvide input into skills matrices, certification criteria, and training processesQuality & Continuous ImprovementPromote adherence to standard work and reduce variation across operators and shiftsIdentify training gaps and partner with quality, engineering, and leadership to resolve issuesSupport troubleshooting of production and quality issuesLeadership & Floor SupportProvide floor-level leadership and support team lead coverage as neededInfluence team performance through coaching, feedback, and technical leadershipMentor other trainers and less experienced operatorsWhat your background should look like:Minimum Qualifications – Training & Leadership Capability2 years fiber assembly manufacturing experience requiredDemonstrated experience training, coaching, mentoring, and certifying operatorsAbility to explain advanced technical processes and adapt training approachExperience using skills matrices, certification processes, and training systemsAbility to document training and competency assessments accuratelyAbility to provide constructive feedback across routine and complex skill developmentAbility to serve as SME for processes, equipment, and quality standardsPreferred Qualifications – Training & Leadership CapabilityExperience mentoring other trainers or serving as a technical leaderExperience contributing to training materials, standard work, and qualification processesExperience resolving complex training gaps, readiness concerns, or recurring performance issuesSkills & AttributesAdvanced communication and influencing skillsStrong problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilityAbility to manage multiple priorities and training demandsHigh accountability and ownership mindsetContinuous improvement orientationCompetencies Values: Integrity, Accountability, Inclusion, Innovation, TeamworkABOUT TE CONNECTIVITYTE Connectivity plc (NYSE: TEL) is a global industrial technology leader creating a safer, sustainable, productive, and connected future.
