Assembly OperatorPay Rate: $20.00 per hour Shift: 1st Shift, Monday–Friday Hours: 7:00 AM–3:30 PM ETPosition OverviewThe Assembly will be trained to follow established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Operation Descriptions (ODs) to mechanically adjust relays according to engineering instructions. This position reports to a Leadperson or Supervisor.Primary ResponsibilitiesSet up relay adjustment machines for various relay types.Visually inspect relays for quality and accuracy.Magnetize relays.Adjust relay contact forces.Adjust pickup, hold, and dropout voltage.Adjust contact gaps.Adjust contact bounce time.Perform quality measurements and maintain accurate records, including SPC documentation.Complete additional assembly operations as needed.Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.Follow all company safety procedures, SOPs, and engineering instructions.Tools and Equipment UsedTweezersRelay adjustment socketsMicroscopesGram gaugesRelay adjustment machinesMagnetizersFiber-optic lightsPin vises and needlesRequirementsHigher education or equivalent work experience.Strong visual acuity and attention to detail.Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.Basic English communication skills, including speaking, reading, and writing.One to two years of electromechanical assembly experience preferred.Previous inspection experience preferred.Ability to follow detailed instructions and meet quality standards.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
