Assembly OperatorPosition Overview: Kelly Services is hiring for a leading manufacturer of relays and switches for the aerospace industry is seeking candidates for the Assembly Operator I position at the Fairview, NC facility. Assembly Operator I is responsible for component assembly, which may require the use of a microscope, small hand tools, and fitting components into fixtures. Following work instructions and maintaining quality are essential to the role.Key Responsibilities:Inspect own work using established quality standards and work instructions.Conduct pull tests as needed for specific operations.Measure components using calipers, gages, or other measuring devices.Inspect products according to technical prints.Complete necessary operational paperwork to maintain product traceability.Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs to equipment as needed.Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area.Follow company and departmental guidelines, procedures, and safety policies.Perform all other related duties as assigned.Read and complete tasks according to drawings and blueprints.Qualifications:High school diploma or GED preferred.Minimum of one year experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.Basic computer skills preferred.Good communication skills.Ability to interpret product blueprints preferred.Ability to multitask and prioritize.Experience with measuring devices such as gages and calipers is a plus.Availability to work overtime to support production goals as needed.Ability to move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.Able to remain in a stationary position 75% of the time.Ability to operate machinery and move between work zones.Proficient in understanding written instructions in English.Additional Requirements: This position requires access to information subject to strict regulations under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
