Assembly OperatorWork individually or as part of a team to assemble, utilize machinery to prepare products for assembly, fill, kit, prepare, label, and/or package an entire product or component of a product according to work instructions.Completes work based on specifications, drawings, job routings, and/or work instructions.Utilizes machinery to assist in the assembly process.Able to adjust process and escalate process non-conformances, in order to meet quality and production specifications.Maintains machinery, equipment, and materials necessary to complete the operation.Meets established safety, quality, performance standards to ensure production schedules are met.Records accurate information on manufacturing order and performs transactions necessary to maintain accurate records and inventory balances.Helps to drive improvements surrounding all applicable safety procedures, quality specifications, and 5S standards. Reports and helps to resolve adverse conditions, non-conforming products/procedures, and 5S violations to department leader in accordance with escalation procedure.In accordance with escalation procedure, notifies team leader or other appropriate resource when problems arise concerning safety, quality, equipment, machinery, operations, materials, inventory, documentation, etc.Demonstrates flexibility by performing rotational assignments as needed. Provides continuous improvement recommendations as well as participates actively as a team member through continuous improvement activities to meet customer needs.May be asked to provide training for new employees or employees needing cross training.Assembly Operator II may have the opportunity to, or be asked to, work in multiple areas of the business.
