Assembly And Test InspectorThis is an amazing opportunity for an Assembly and Test Inspector in our MRO Commercial Engine Center. This is a 2nd Shift Monday -Friday 3:30pm to Midnight. There is a shift differential offered on 2nd shift.

This is a Labor Grade 5.What You Will Do:Use a wide variety of power and mechanical tools to perform functional checks on engine assembly and componentsPerform Dimensional and Visual inspections following standardized methods and established techniques.This process may involve surface plate work or standard measuring techniques to verify accuracy of parts, tools, gages, or other equipment.The Inspector will be accepting or rejecting material based on findings.Work from applicable written inspection procedures and engineering drawings.Work with other pertinent instructions to plan and perform dimensional and/or visual inspection on parts, tools, gages and other equipment.Accepting or referring material for rework or quality review based on findings.Use a variety of fixed and variable measuring instruments including automated measuring machines.Program instructions are well-defined will be checking dimensions and record results.Perform necessary mathematical computations to resolve extent of nonconformance and complete appropriate paperwork.Follow Proper procedures to perform in-line checks and verifications of dimensions and make sure that operation sheets are being followed.May be assigned to carry out tasks, not specifically listed, within the scope and skill level of this job description in support of department objectives and to develop individuals' skills.What You Will Learn:Skills, systems, and processes critical to aerospace manufacturing within a state of the art facility.Interpretation/Application of tech data to aide in the disassembly and assembly of commercial & military jet enginesForklift, scissor lift, and other PIV trainingsBasic Qualifications:High school graduate or GED2 years formal training in power-plant mechanics and testingPreferred Qualifications:A&P LicenseExperience working from complicated drawings, specifications, procedures, and instructions to fabricate, configure, install, remove/replace and set up a variety of power systems, components, modules, and associated equipmentExperience working with Solumina, SFWF, or similar programs.Ability to obtain and maintain certifications to operate powered industrial vehiclesWhat We Offer:Medical, Dental, Vision and Life InsuranceHealth Savings Accounts (HSA)Short-term disability, long-term disability and New Parent LeaveSavings Plan with Company Automatic Contribution and potential for a Company MatchEmployee Scholar Program (available upon hire date)Employee Assistance Program (EAP)Paid-Time Off includes: vacation days, sick/personal days, incentive vacation, birthday holiday (8) Company recognized holidays and (5) Holiday Shutdown days from Christmas to the New YearThis role is: Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite.
