Don't miss this potential to hire opportunity in Springfield, MO.Assembly Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Read and interpret work orders and production instructionsAssemble products using hand tools, portable power tools, and other production equipmentUse small tools, including grinders, to remove scratches, excess weld material, and burrsCoordinate the staging and sequencing of parts and production componentsLoad and unload materials using pallet jacks, hand trucks, hoists, cranes, and other material handling equipmentOperate a forklift and/or scissor lift upon successful completion of company training and certification requirementsInspect parts and finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and are free of defectsComplete daily production records and required documentationMaintain a clean and organized work areaReport defective materials, equipment issues, and unusual operating conditions to the Team Lead or SupervisorFollow all company safety procedures and wear required PPEParticipate in cross-training opportunities and support other departments when neededMaintain dependable attendance and punctuality to ensure production schedules and team objectives are metCommunicate effectively and work collaboratively with team members to support a safe and productive work environmentAssembly Requirements:High school diploma or equivalent requiredFrequently stand, walk, bend, twist, reach, push, pull, grasp, and perform repetitive motions throughout the shiftFrequently lift up to 50 poundsOccasionally lift up to 70 poundsFrequently participate in team lifts of 75 pounds or moreAbility to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to heat, cold, noise, and changing weather conditionsMandatory overtime on Fridays may be required based on production needsRequired PPE includes steel toe boots, long pants, hard hats, safety glasses, cut-resistant gloves, and hearing protection (ear plugs)Consistent attendance and punctuality are essential to support production schedules and team successStrong communication and teamwork skills are expectedConsecutive 2+yrs previous manufacturing, assembly, or construction experience within the past 3-4yrs requiredMust be mechanically inclined with previous experience using hand and power toolsForklift and/or scissor lift experience preferred, but not requiredAbility to read and follow work instructions and work ordersStrong attention to detail and commitment to qualityAbility to work independently and as part of a teamIND061 QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
