AssemblerThe Assembler performs electro-mechanical assembly, disassembly, and rework, along with testing and repairing various electronic products and mechanical assemblies.

The role requires utilizing schematics, wiring diagrams, panel layouts, engineering drawings, and wire lists, as well as examining electrical blueprints for potential issues prior to installation.

Responsibilities include operating small power tools, other hand tools, and computerized and high-pressure equipment.ResponsibilitiesInstall electrical components such as terminal blocks, governor controllers, voltage regulators, speed switches, voltage sensing controllers, watt transducers, current transformers, relay assemblies, fuse assemblies, time delay circuits, transformers, power terminal block assemblies, circuit breakers, jumpers, and wire harnesses.Connect lead wires to ohmmeters or other electronic testing equipment to test connections for continuity, resistance, shorts, and grounds in accordance with the wiring diagram.Complete various panels by installing lights, receptacles, gauges, electronic instruments, legends, and instruction labels as per diagrams and instructions.Support and communicate the mission, values, and culture of the organization.Adhere to all quality and safety standards.Support other projects and perform duties as assigned.Use hand tools and electronic and pneumatic tooling to complete mechanical and electrical assemblies and subassemblies.Assist the HDT Services Team in fulfilling customer expectations.Work under close supervision on unusual or difficult problems.Essential SkillsProficiency in using hand and power tools.Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, panel layouts, and engineering drawings.Minimum of five years of experience with electrical systems; seven or more years preferred.Experience with EMI connectors and building cables.Knowledge of low voltage wiring (24 Volt AC/DC).Ability to identify different gauges of wire and knowledge of phase coloring.Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalent preferred.Associate's degree or vocational school certificate in electrical preferred but not required.Ability and willingness to work overtime when necessary.Frequent lifting of up to 20 lbs., occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.Ability to climb ladders, bend, kneel, work overhead, and sit or stand for several hours.Eye/hand coordination and steady hands for equipment and tools operation.Specific vision abilities required include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.Ability to wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required.Why Work Here?Join a company that values communication, teamwork, and continuous learning. The production floor operates from Monday to Friday, 6am to 6pm, with potential shifts starting at 8am. Expect to work 50-60 hours a week, with possible weekend work if needed. The dress code includes jeans, t-shirt, and steel-toed boots. The plant does not have a cooling system, and the sound level may fluctuate due to manufacturing processes. Regular exposure to dust, odors, oil, and fumes is expected.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Fredericksburg, VA.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $26.00/hr.
