Assembler for System IntegrationLocation: Germantown, MD, US, 20876Job Summary: DRS RADA Technologies is hiring an Assembler for System Integration to join our growing team on-site in Germantown, MD. DRS RADA Technologies, a subsidiary of Leonardo DRS, is focused on proprietary radar solutions and legacy avionics systems supporting the defense industry globally. The company is a global pioneer of AESA tactical radars for active military protection, counter-drone applications, critical infrastructure protection, and border surveillance.Job Responsibilities: Responsible and accountable for producing quality work to company standards, with a focus on continuous improvement to meet customer commitments on schedule. Follow written work instructions. Work under minimal supervision on tasks that are routine. Perform more detailed assembly tasks that require experience in the specified processes. Communicate technical information with other functional departments, such as Production Engineering, Purchasing, and Quality. Electromechanical Troubleshooting. Self-Starter and demonstrate good decision making. Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to all safety procedures including those which govern the handling of materials, chemicals, tools, and equipment (WHMIS). Proper use of required PPE. Periodically assist in orienting and training lower-level employees. Perform advanced-level assembly functions, which may include mechanical, harness, cable, printed circuit board sub-assemblies, spray application, and inspection, typically working from models and/or drawings, within Production. Participate in production planning and accomplishing assigned goals. Serve as a resource to others in the resolution of complex problems and issues. Participate in LEAN Events, "Six S" activities, action teams etc. Support, communicate, reinforce, and defend the mission, values, and culture of the organization. Interpret blueprints, Process Flow Instructions and other written or verbal instructions. Will be trained across all assembly product lines, work w/Engineering to build 1st articles by interpreting print/specification with no process provided and the ability to interpret/assemble all units in depth.Qualifications: High school diploma or GED with a minimum of 2 years of experience in specialty area e.g. welding, tool making.

Experience in System Integration or Fabrication Preferred.
