Job Description
The Assembly and Test Operator is responsible for assembling and testing products, and for troubleshooting and resolving issues.
Roles and Responsibilities:
· Assemble components of all products, selecting the correct tools and fixtures.
· Test assembled products. Troubleshoot and resolve problems associated with the assembly and testing of products.
· Read blueprints; identify components; use pertinent tools and rework techniques; operate equipment, dimensioning and setting tolerances of mechanical parts and assemblies.
· Create labor records for all transactions.
· Ensure good housekeeping within own work area.
· Take personal responsibility for safety and adhere to relating Risk Assessments.
· Use the guiding principles and tools of the Manufacturing System to drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications and Experience:
· High school diploma, General Educational Development (GED), or related experience.
· Must be mechanically adept; able to use a variety of hand and power tools.
· Ability to read, interpret, and carry out written and oral instructions; write legibly.
· Experience working with assembly related operations or equivalent preferred.
