Measure, cut and assemble door units.
Assist a variety of functions with manual labor tasks as needed. The assembler will either work on Patio Stock, Interior Stock, or Entry Stock work areas. Works under immediate supervision.What will you do:Verify materials being used is correct by reading the bill of materialsEnsure materials meet quality expectationsPalletize, wrap, and label units as neededAssembles fabricated parts to relatively large or heavy subassemblies and complete unitsTests and calibrates parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product specificationsRelies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the jobVerifies that components are being placed in the correct position per SOPRepeats tasks until entire door stack is completeCleans up work area when shift endsMaintain a safe and clean work environmentOther duties as assignedKnowledge/Skills/Abilities:Ability to work independently and effectively in a team environmentSolid verbal and written communication skillsHas knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular fieldStrong analytical skills & Knowledge of all door componentsEfficient with multiple manual machines and pneumatic equipment such as Nail Gun, Screw Gun, Router, Tape Measure, SquareRequired to stand for long periods of timeMay involve some repetitive motions - bending, stooping, squatting, pushing, and pulling of parts and part containersAbility to organize and maintain detailed recordsAbility to work well in a fast-paced environment and can multi-taskRead and understand bill of materialsDue to the open environment of the facility, must be able to work in various weather and temperature conditions to include extreme heat, humidity, and coldMust be able to read a tape measure and have basic math skillsWhat you will need: Preferably one –two year experience in manufacturing setting HS Diploma or GED preferred Able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen
