Assembler – 1st ShiftAssembler – 1st ShiftMinnetonka, MN 55345$ /hrFullTimeJob DescriptionAbout the Opportunity:Job Title: AssemblerPay Rate Range: $18.00-$19.00/HourLocation: Minnetonka, MNSchedule: 1st Shift, Monday-Thursday, 6AM-3PM & Friday, 6AM-10AMPosition Type: Temp to HireRequirements and Qualifications:High School diploma or equivalent industrial experience preferred1 to 2 years' experience in assembly preferred1 to 2 years' experience in electrical assembly desiredMust have basic ability to use computer keyboard and mouseMust be able to lift up to 40 lbs.Standing for long durations of timeUse hands and fingers to operate hand toolsMedical device experience preferredStrong English language speaking and reading skills requiredManufacturing Experience, Manufacturing Quality, Mechanical Inspection Tools, Safety Management, Quality Focus, Light Machinery Operation, Judgment, Decision MakingDuties and Responsibilities:Cuts materials, according to specifications, or cuts excess material or thread from finished product, using blade, scissors, or electric knife.Folds or fits together materials, such as cloth, foam rubber, plastic to prepare for machine sewing.Operates presses, assembly fixtures and sealing machines to cut and assemble productsPrepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.Positions parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements.Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies.Assembles electrical components and test for functionalityVerifies specifications by measuring and/or test completed component.Works with lead/supervisor to resolves assembly problems.Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.Documents actions by completing production and quality forms.Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as neededUses material handling equipment to move materials as neededAssists production workers in picking materials for work ordersPicks and prepares finished products for shipment to assist shipping staffMay be asked to ship product using ERP software and shipping system during busy times or when regular shipping staff is unavailablePerforming repetitive tasks while sitting or standing for extended periods of timeDiscover Award Staffing: At Award Staffing, we believe that work should be more than just a paycheck—it should inspire, empower, and create a sense of purpose.
