This role involves collaborating closely with physicians and advanced providers to deliver exceptional patient care for minor illnesses, injuries, and routine evaluations. You will be responsible for obtaining high-quality diagnostic digital images, assisting with patient registration and discharge, managing data collection, and supporting daily clinic operations under the guidance of nursing staff or providers.
Key Responsibilities:
• Expertly manage patient registration and discharge processes, including insurance verification and accurate coding.
• Prepare patients for examinations based on their presenting complaints.
• Communicate promptly about urgent cases to ensure timely assessments.
• Collect and document patient data in electronic medical records following clinic policies.
• Schedule diagnostic procedures and obtain necessary authorizations.
• Perform diagnostic testing and treatments according to established protocols, ensuring radiation safety.
• Operate and troubleshoot radiology equipment effectively.
• Maintain compliance with laboratory and regulatory standards.
• Administer medications as directed and document accordingly.
• Manage clinic supplies efficiently to support daily operations.
Education and Experience:
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of a Limited or Associate Degree Radiology Technologist program; Associate Degree preferred.
• Familiarity with medical terminology, procedural and diagnostic coding.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Basic Life Support certification (can be obtained upon hire).
• Tuberculin Screening Tester Certification (can be obtained upon hire).
• Minimum of one year experience in a medical office setting, preferably in family medicine, orthopedics, or immediate care.
Licensure:
• Must hold a valid Radiology Technologist license as required by the state health department.
