At AJ Construction the people are the company.Team Member Motto"You take care of the company, and the company will take care of you"Job Description Summary:Operate the screed of the paving machine used in the process of laying asphaltWork in a team environmentPerform daily inspections of equipmentBe able to perform numerous asphalt paving tasks as needed: shovel, lute, screed, driver, broomBe responsible for a safe work environment for themselves and other team membersPerform minor servicing and maintenance of equipmentPerform general labor duties when necessaryFollow directions of the ForemanProperly follow all company policiesWhen working with co-workers, constant eye contact will be maintained when backing, communicating using hand signalsQualifications:To perform this job, an individual must be competent, fast learning, and have a good attitudeEducation/ExperienceMinimum or high school diploma or general education degree requiredPrevious asphalt paving experience is preferredWork Requirements:Must be 18 years or olderMust adhere to safety requirements and procedures in the employee handbookMust be willing to work in a team environmentMust have a valid driver's licenseOvertime hours may be requiredIndividuals are required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE)Be willing to work outdoors in extreme temperatures, both hot and coldBe on timeOperate Screed/ScrewBe willing to train others
