Position Overview
We are seeking a hands-on BAS Engineer with experience in offensive security, detection engineering, and Python scripting. This individual will support security engineering initiatives, troubleshoot existing security pipelines, and work with internal teams to improve security processes and capabilities. Strong Python scripting experience is especially important, along with a background in penetration testing, red teaming, and security detection technologies.

Position Overview
We are seeking a hands-on BAS Engineer with experience in offensive security, detection engineering, and Python scripting. This individual will support security engineering initiatives, troubleshoot existing security pipelines, and work with internal teams to improve security processes and capabilities. Strong Python scripting experience is especially important, along with a background in penetration testing, red teaming, and security detection technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform offensive security testing across networks, web applications, and infrastructure.
- Support detection engineering initiatives using tools such as Splunk, CrowdStrike Next-Gen SIEM, and Microsoft Sentinel.
- Develop and maintain Python scripts to automate security processes, troubleshoot issues, and improve existing workflows.
- Manage and complete technical work tickets within GitLab, supporting targeted projects and initiatives.
- Respond to requests for information from field and support teams regarding internal security processes and procedures.
- Troubleshoot and resolve existing security pipeline failures.
- Collaborate with Security Architecture on technology changes, enhancements, and follow-up on existing ServiceNow (SNOW) tickets.
- Hands-on experience in offensive security, including red teaming, network penetration testing, or web application security testing.
- Strong detection engineering experience with Splunk, CrowdStrike Next-Gen SIEM, and/or Microsoft Sentinel.
- Strong Python scripting skills are critical to this role.
- Experience troubleshooting technical issues and security-related pipelines.
- Experience working with GitLab and ticket-based engineering workflows.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Development or application security (AppSec) experience.
- Networking and cloud security experience.
- Incident Response (IR) or Security Operations Center (SOC) experience.
