Florida Dermatology Specialists is a growing private medical practice with offices in Port St. Lucie, Stuart, and Palm Beach Gardens. FDS values teamwork, care, service, and results, and we are seeking a leader with extensive dermatology and management experience to join our strong team.

Position Overview

Supervisor – Medical Assistants (full‑time, salaried, Monday‑Friday). The role involves supervising a team of 12‑14 Medical Assistants across all three locations, providing clinic support, and ensuring operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Hire, train, and evaluate Medical Assistants; develop performance improvement plans and conduct annual reviews.
• Schedule clinical staff for all three locations and oversee daily operations/patient flow.
• Assist in writing and reviewing clinical protocols and other administrative duties as assigned.
• Serve as a valuable member of the Operations Team and attend weekly leadership meetings.
• Work on the floor 50‑75% of the time as a Medical Assistant to maintain hands‑on skills and support clinic needs.

General MA Duties

• Escort patients to exam rooms, conduct interviews, measure vital signs, and document chart information.
• Prep patient charts prior to appointments.
• Prepare and clean rooms for examinations, procedures, and surgery.
• Assist physicians and mid‑level providers in surgery and general dermatology.
• Remove sutures and change dressings.
• Perform other medical office duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in general dermatology and Mohs surgery required.
• Management experience supervising Medical Assistants required.
• Must be able to travel to all three offices (Port St. Lucie, Stuart, and Palm Beach Gardens).
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
