Lockheed Martin is seeking a skilled engineer to develop, design, verify, and document Application-Specific Integrated Circuits (ASIC) and Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGA). The role involves determining architecture design, logic design, and system simulation, with responsibilities spanning from high-level design to synthesis, place and route, and timing and power utilization. Candidates will utilize specialized equipment for operational data establishment, experimental testing, and result evaluation.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and design ASIC and FPGA systems.
  • Determine architecture and logic design for projects.
  • Conduct system simulations and analyze high-level designs.
  • Perform synthesis, place and route, and timing and power utilization assessments.
  • Utilize specialized equipment for operational data and experimental tests.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, electrical engineering, or computer science.
  • US Citizenship required; must obtain government security clearance.

Skills:

  • Expertise in FPGA architecture and design, specifically with Xilinx/AMD, Intel, or Microsemi devices.
  • Proficient in VHDL firmware programming for FPGA devices.
  • Experience with Xilinx Vivado, Intel Quartus, or Microsemi Libero development platforms.
  • Familiarity with Mentor Questa HDL simulator and UVM verification techniques.
  • Knowledge of digital signal processing functions related to radar and electronic warfare.
  • Experience with MATLAB modeling and higher-level code development (Nvidia CUDA, OpenCL, Simulink HDL Coder, Xilinx System Generator).
  • Digital board design experience for mixed signal boards supporting FPGAs.
