Aseptic Processing Operator/Turn SpecialistWe are currently seeking an Aseptic Processing Operator/Turn Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong mechanical aptitude and possess a basic understanding of food plant Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), sanitation, and cleanliness requirements. Familiarity with Clean-in-Place (CIP) systems is preferred.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of good attendance and reliability, as well as the flexibility to work variable hours to meet production needs.Key responsibilities include operating and maintaining production machinery, adhering to GMPs to ensure product safety and quality, executing sanitation procedures to maintain hygiene standards, and following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) with precision. Basic computer skills for data entry and equipment monitoring are also required. While previous experience in a food production environment is beneficial, it is not mandatory.Education/Prerequisite Requirements: High School Education or EquivalentSchedule: Varies based on production schedule needsWork Specifications – Responsibilities:Responsible for food safety and qualityMust know where every processor and sterile tank is locatedMust know where all check off sheets are and how to fill them outBe able to walk the line from start to finish of 1 processorTo be able to change and fill out Charts accuratelyMust be able to set up one processor to a sterile tank with all the appropriate configurations necessaryBe able to sterilize a processor and sterile tank or tanks associated with the processorBe able to take all readings for processor and sterile tankTo be able to start and stop product on a processorPerform a CIP on the sterile tankBe able to CIP the raw product supply lines and separation of product on and offPerform a CIP (Clean In Place) on the processorCheck chemical strengthCheck and verify magnet and strainer cleanlinessTo be able to fill out all records for processors (processors trained on) accurately and completely including log booksKnow where all of the checks off sheets are and how to fill them outKnowledge of sterile zones for one processer and sterile tankBe able to AIC (Aseptic Intermediate Clean) the processorTo begin to learn the position and function of valvesMonitor for proper flow, temperature and leaks of chemicalsPerform safe handling of chemicals and use of safety equipmentTo be able to fill out all records for processors (processors trained on) accurately and completely including log booksKnow how to monitor all CCP (Critical Control Points) and record on logUnderstanding of HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points)Must be able to operate one of the CIP systems (4,5,6,7,8,10,11,12,200)To have developed a basic understanding of aseptic processingKeep processing equipment and surrounding areas clean and in a sanitary conditionCommunicate production issues to leads and supervisorsAlert maintenance when equipment malfunctions and work with them to correct problemPay Range: $24.75 to $25.75Steuben Foods is committed to equal employment opportunity.
