Join a dedicated healthcare team in the Pacific Northwest region as an Environmental Services Technician on a PRN basis. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff by adhering to health department standards and organizational policies.
Job Summary
As an Environmental Services Technician, you will be responsible for cleaning and sanitizing various areas using germicidal detergents and supplies. Duties include dusting, mopping, washing walls, ceilings, windows, furniture, equipment, and more. You will also handle the distribution of laundered supplies and ensure patient care areas are stocked with clean linens.
Responsibilities

  • Clean, disinfect, and service assigned areas thoroughly and efficiently.
  • Perform routine, repetitive tasks with attention to detail and safety for patients and coworkers.
  • Work under supervision, completing standardized tasks quietly and promptly.
  • Train and rotate between multiple district facilities as needed.
  • Participate in special projects and other related duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Housekeeping experience preferred; hospital-based experience is a plus.
Skills and Abilities
  • Ability to learn and follow established policies and procedures.
  • Strong reading comprehension and communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service orientation.
  • Proficiency in operating common cleaning tools and equipment.

Physical Requirements
This role involves frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, lifting, and carrying items weighing up to 35 pounds. Ability to work safely around biohazards and maintain normal vision, hearing, and speech capabilities is necessary.
Work Environment
