ASCOCC Vice President - Student Position Only
Position Title: ASCOCC Vice President – Student Position Only.
Classification: Temporary PT Hourly – Role begins August 31, 2026.
Hourly Rate: $770.40 Monthly Stipend – 12 hrs/week (Mostly Monday‑Friday 8 am‑5 pm).

Responsibilities
- Assume all duties of the President in their absence and other delegated duties.
- Assist the President with annual budget planning.
- Reconcile ASCOCC accounts on a monthly basis.
- Process and manage monthly payroll.
- Prepare monthly audit reports and maintain fiscal oversight of ASCOCC accounts, serving as liaison between Fiscal Services and ASCOCC.
- Supervise the Student Equity Coordinator in partnership with the advisor.
- Meet regularly with the President and Student Equity Coordinator.
- Coordinate all council meeting logistics and communications.
- Serve as backup delegate for OCCSA if ASCOCC becomes a member institution.
- Attend and assist with Bobcat Orientation.
- Meet quarterly with the Vice President of Finance and Operations.
- Adhere to all sections of ASCOCC’s Constitution, By‑Laws, and Policies & Procedures.
- Function effectively in an office environment.
- Attend ASCOCC Council Meetings and Quorums, and serve on a college standing committee as a student representative.
- Represent the Students of COCC ethically, responsibly, and equally.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Effective and sensitive work with constituents from diverse cultural backgrounds.
- Proficiency with computers, multi‑line phones, and standard office equipment.
- Keyboard and MS Office proficiency.
- Clear oral and written communication in English.
- Positive team player capable of problem solving and achieving goals.
- Independent work ethic, plan, and organize multiple tasks within timelines.
- Demonstrate essential job functions outlined above.
- Complete delegated projects timely.
Education
- High School diploma or GED.
Experience
- Minimum COCC cumulative 2.0 GPA.
- Minimum of six (6) COCC credits.
Preferred Qualifications
- Past experience in an office environment.
- Experience with accounting and bookkeeping.
