Job DescriptionAt Ascentium Capital, the Sales Development and Training Manager works in conjunction with sales and marketing to recruit, hire, onboard and train highly effective sales team members. This position manages and develops sales staff to ensure consistent execution of the sales process, ensuring sales and marketing goals are met.Ascentium Capital, a division of Regions Bank, provides convenient access to financing for business equipment and technology and serves small organizations to Fortune 500 companies with programs that benefit manufacturers, distributors and direct to businesses nationwide. We strive to be the premier provider of customized finance programs that add value to our customers' businesses.Primary ResponsibilitiesInterviews and hires new sales candidatesCompletes onboarding and training for all new hires and provides continual training for entire direct sales staffManages the team to Ascentium's required sales activity levelsProvides sales coachingWrites and publishes sales training materialsCollects and interprets data to determine effectiveness of training techniquesStrategizes new training methods to be implementedUnderstands and communicates information regarding company products, services, and policiesAssists sales reps in all aspects of the sales cycleEngages in one-on-one reviews with salespeople to evaluate and maximize performanceLeads team sales meetings on a regular basisProvides timely and accurate reporting as requiredPerforms other duties as assigned by managerThis position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.This position is incentive eligible.RequirementsBachelor's DegreeSix (6) years of sales, sales training or sales management experiencePreferencesFinancial services backgroundDirect sales experiencePrevious supervisory experienceSkills and CompetenciesAbility to manage multiple prioritiesAbility to work under pressure and meet deadlinesProficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)Strong attention to detailStrong verbal, written communication, and organizational skillsStrong work ethic and self-motivationCompensation DetailsPay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.The target information listed below is based on the Metropolitan Statistical Area Market Range for where the position is located and level of the position.Job Range Target:Minimum: $91,924.62 USDMedian: $127,331.10 USDIncentive Pay Plans: This role is eligible to participate in a discretionary incentive plan.
