Position Overview

Join a well-established anesthesia team in the greater Philadelphia area offering an exceptional lifestyle-focused opportunity for board-certified anesthesiologists. This role features predictable 8-hour daytime shifts, Monday through Friday, with no nights, weekends, or on-call responsibilities. Practice in a supervisory capacity at multiple ambulatory surgery centers (ASCs) across diverse specialties including orthopedic surgery, gastroenterology, pediatric dental anesthesia, cardiology procedures, and other outpatient specialties. Choose between a partnership track or employed physician model with competitive compensation ranging from $400,000 to $500,000 annually.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia supervision and medical direction for cases at multiple ambulatory surgery centers in the Philadelphia metropolitan area
• Oversee anesthesia care for orthopedic procedures, GI endoscopy, pediatric dental cases, cardiology interventions, and other outpatient surgical specialties
• Collaborate with CRNAs and anesthesia care team members in a supervisory anesthesia model
• Maintain clinical excellence and patient safety standards across all ASC locations
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and peer review processes
• Optional: Take on additional cases for variety and increased compensation based on personal preference

Job Requirements

• MD or DO degree with completion of accredited Anesthesiology residency program
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology by the American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA)
• Active or eligible for medical license in Pennsylvania
• Experience or training in ambulatory anesthesia and outpatient surgery center settings
• DEA certification and ability to maintain hospital privileges
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for team-based anesthesia care
• Commitment to work-life balance and patient-centered care
