Direct Counsel is partnering with a well-established law firm seeking an Associate Attorney to join its Asbestos and Product Liability practice group. This is a great opportunity for a motivated attorney to gain hands-on litigation experience while benefiting from strong mentorship and career development support.
What You'll Do:
- Handle asbestos, toxic tort, and product liability matters
- Manage cases from early stages through resolution
- Draft and respond to written discovery
- Prepare and argue motions
- Take and defend depositions
- Appear in court for hearings and proceedings as needed
- 2-5 years of relevant litigation experience (asbestos, toxic tort, or product liability preferred)
- Licensed and in good standing with the California Bar
- J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school
- Experience with discovery, motion practice, and depositions
- Strong organizational, writing, and advocacy skills
- Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines
- Willingness to make in-person court appearances when required
Compensation & Perks:
- $130,000 - $183,000 base salary (depending on experience and billable expectations)
