AI Agent Engineer | Baltimore, MD (Hybrid - 2 Days Onsite)
Our client is a leading investment management firm and they are looking to hire an AI Agent Engineer who will help build and scale next-generation autonomous AI solutions across the enterprise. This is an opportunity to work at the forefront of Agentic AI, LLMs, AI orchestration, and intelligent automation , partnering directly with investment, technology, and innovation teams to design and deploy production-grade AI systems that drive real business impact.
Location: Baltimore, MD
Hybrid: 2 days per week onsite
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, and deploy AI agents and autonomous systems in modern cloud environments
- Build agent-driven workflows that automate complex business processes and generate actionable insights
- Develop solutions leveraging LLMs, prompt engineering, orchestration frameworks, and real-time data
- Collaborate closely with business and technology stakeholders to identify high-value AI use cases
- Drive engineering best practices across testing, deployment, code quality, and continuous integration
- Help evolve AI platforms, infrastructure, and automation capabilities across the organization
- Research and implement emerging technologies to enhance operational efficiency and business outcomes
Requirements:
? 5+ years of software engineering experience using Python, Java, JavaScript, or similar object-oriented languages
? Hands-on experience building and deploying LLM-powered applications or agent-based AI systems in production environments
? Strong experience with:
- AWS and/or Azure
- Cloud-native architectures
- Containerized microservices
- AI/Agent frameworks
? Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
? Passion for emerging AI technologies and innovation

? Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)
? Vector databases
