What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and community members by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized access and identify unusual activity.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization when required, and report security-related concerns or policy violations to site leadership.
- Prepare accurate reports and maintain required documentation regarding incidents, patrols, observations, and other security-related activities.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess a concealed carry weapons permit.
- Possess 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or a college degree.
- Possess 1+ years of law enforcement experience, 2+ years of security-related supervisor or manager experience, or 3+ years of security-related experience.
- Possess an armed guard card or license.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
