Our unified team has demonstrated that the only limits on achievement are those that we place on ourselves!Job DescriptionThe Highway Operations Manager will be responsible for planning and supervising all operations for A-Core's Arizona Highway Division. This includes handling all day-to-day operations for the highway division for Arizona and the neighboring states.

The Highway Operations Manager is responsible for the effective and successful management of labor, productivity, quality control, and to ensure a safe and efficient highway operations. Additionally, this position will be scheduling highway work and determining the right personnel and equipment to complete the work in the most efficient manner.The ideal candidate needs to be a critical thinker who can analyze the situations and make sound decisions. The candidate would be well-versed in construction processes and procedures and able to coordinate a team of different specialties to achieve the best results in the allotted timeframe.

The ideal candidate will have an analytical mind and great organizational skills. The goal will be to ensure all projects are delivered on time according to requirements and within planned budgets.ResponsibilitiesDetermine needed resources (manpower, equipment and materials) from start to finish with attention to budgetary limitationsPlan operations and schedule intermediate phases to ensure deadlines will be metEvaluate progress and prepare detailed reportsEnsure adherence to all health and safety standards and report issuesSubmit final approval of timecards and regular progress reportsCommunicate effectively with Regional Highway ManagerCorrespond with clients and vendors in coordinating new and ongoing projectsAttend highway meetings and job walks, as neededPerform due diligence and plan the execution of projectsManage hiring, terminations, and employee retention within the regionEmpower and motivate employees to find new strategies for improving the efficiency of the operation.Qualifications5+ Years Experience as Operating Superintendent (Required)Must pass Drug Screen (Required)Valid Driver's License with good driving record (Required)Ability to pass a DOT physicalCommercial Driver's License - highly recommendedPass a background check (for some projects)In-depth understanding of construction procedures and material and project management principlesBe able to learn pricing and billing with moderate computer skillsExperience green and rehab saw and seal, large depth sawing (24'deep)Experience with hot pour, silicone 890 and 888, compression sealsGeneral knowledge of reading project plans, specifications and materialsGeneral highway equipment repair knowledgeAbility to follow set and agreed upon processesMust have great communication, scheduling, delegating, problem solving and leadership skillsExcellent organizational and time-management skills, self-motivated and punctualAvailability to travel, as neededMust relocate for those not already in ArizonaBenefitsA-Core offers a generous benefits package including paid time offInsurance benefits when eligible (after 60 days)401K when eligible (after 60 days of service)Growth opportunities with a great companyCompany Vehicle ProvidedCompany Cell Phone and Laptop ProvidedAll A-Core Inc. employees are expected to completely adhere to the safety policies practiced throughout the construction industry.A-Core is committed to providing a workplace free from discrimination or harassment.
