ROLE : Area Sales Director, Central Europe

LOCATION : Germany (Remote) | Full-Time

The Opportunity

Our client is a market-defining semiconductor company that has fundamentally transformed a critical component of modern electronics. Their patented silicon-based timing technology has disrupted a decades-old industry standard and is now designed into some of the most demanding applications across AI datacentres, automotive systems, industrial automation, aerospace & defence, robotics, IoT and consumer electronics.

As they continue to gain market share and drive adoption across Europe, they are seeking a highly commercial and technically credible Area Sales Director to lead business growth across Germany, Austria and Switzerland .

This is a strategic leadership role with full ownership of revenue growth within the territory. The successful candidate will combine hands-on customer engagement with long-term market development, building a sustainable growth strategy while expanding relationships with some of the region's most influential electronics and semiconductor organisations.

This is not a traditional field sales position.

You'll be responsible for driving adoption of a genuinely differentiated technology platform that solves performance, reliability, size and power challenges for customers operating in increasingly demanding environments.

With strong market momentum and significant opportunities across AI, automotive and industrial markets, this role offers the chance to influence regional strategy, win flagship accounts and help shape the future direction of the business across Central Europe.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and deliver the sales strategy for the DACH region, driving both short-term revenue and long-term market expansion.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive three-year growth plan across key verticals including:
    • Industrial
    • Automotive
    • Aerospace & Defence
    • Mobile & IoT
    • Consumer Electronics
  • Manage and grow strategic customer relationships, leading engagements from opportunity identification through to commercial close.
  • Identify emerging applications, market trends and underpenetrated customer segments where the company's timing solutions can create competitive advantage.
  • Drive design-win activity with OEMs, EMS providers and semiconductor ecosystem partners.
  • Leverage distribution partners and channel networks to accelerate market coverage and broad-base customer growth.
  • Build and maintain a robust opportunity pipeline, converting emerging accounts into long-term strategic customers.
  • Collaborate closely with FAE, product management and executive leadership teams to align customer requirements with business objectives.
  • Provide accurate forecasting, market intelligence and competitive insights to support strategic decision-making.

Candidate Profile

Essential

  • Degree qualified in Electronics Engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • Proven success within the semiconductor industry, ideally selling highly engineered components or solutions into OEMs and technology customers.
  • Strong understanding of electronics design cycles and design-win sales methodologies.
  • Experience managing complex sales opportunities across the DACH region.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage both engineering and commercial stakeholders.
  • Track record of consistently achieving and exceeding revenue targets.

Highly Desirable

  • Experience within timing, clocking, MEMS, sensors, analogue, mixed-signal, connectivity or related semiconductor technologies.
  • Existing network across Automotive, Industrial or High-Reliability Electronics markets.
  • Experience working with distribution partners including broadline and specialist semiconductor channels.
  • German and English language skills.
