Area Operations Manager
Location: Vancouver, WA (Admin) - Management

Responsibilities
- Supports, monitors and ensures compliance with company and regulatory requirements
- Evaluates accidents and near misses to identify and recommend training needs and quality concerns
- Ensures personnel follow safety policies, attend required safety meetings, and supports implementation and training of safety programs
- Develops and recommends action plans to continuously improve production, distribution, and operating characteristics, improving safety performance, quality, and cost reduction
- Provides leadership and direction to associates at all levels, including encouragement, performance evaluation, coaching, regular feedback, goal communication, and team meetings
- Conducts individual and group training as required
- Provides accurate analysis and measurement of operational results, program progress, trends, and forecasts
- Aligns personal performance activities to balance production, distribution, and customer service improvement
- Develops expertise in new operational improvement and safety programs
- Assists in transferring operational process improvements
- Facilitates implementation of monthly production and distribution measurement reports
- Supports the development of a "measurement and action" philosophy
- Assists in identifying and developing individuals with growth potential and establishing training programs for future opportunities
Qualifications
Required
- At least five years’ experience in manufacturing or distribution
- Excellent oral and written communication skills; able to read and comprehend safety data sheets
- Ability to work flexible hours to meet customer and management needs
- Ability to work with people of diverse personalities and backgrounds
- Ability to work independently and under pressure to meet deadlines
- Must operate in a drug‑free workplace
Preferred
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering, or equivalent experience in a similar industry and position
- At least three years in a management role
- Experience handling compressed gases
- Proficiency with personal computer applications such as Google Workspace
- Understanding of production methods, equipment, cylinder flow, local distribution effectiveness, and operational performance statistics of assigned departments
