Area Operations Manager

Role Description

We’re hiring an entry-level Manufacturing Manager to oversee day‑to‑day production operations, ensure product quality, and drive continuous improvement on the shop floor. This role is ideal for a recent graduate or someone with 1-3 years of manufacturing supervisory experience who is ready to grow into a leadership position.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate production activities to meet output, quality, and safety targets
• Schedule and assign work; monitor workflow and resolve bottlenecks
• Train, coach, and mentor production staff; support performance reviews
• Monitor KPIs (throughput, yield, downtime, scrap) and report to senior management
• Implement and support Lean manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards
• Assist with inventory control, tooling maintenance, and production documentation
• Participate in root‑cause analysis and corrective action processes

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in management, business, or a related technical field, or 1-3 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong problem‑solving, organizational, and communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with ERP/MRP systems a plus
• Ability to work in a non-climate controlled manufacturing environment for 8-10 hours per day.
• Ability to work 2 nd shift and overtime as needed.
• Physical ability to perform repetitive tasks, lift up to 50 pounds, and stand for extended periods.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
