Area Asset Protection Manager

Summary

The Area Asset Protection Manager leads asset protection teams across Nordstrom and Nordstrom Rack stores in the assigned area. This field-based role develops and executes shrink reduction strategies, oversees investigations, and supports employee and customer safety. Travel is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop, and oversee asset protection teams, including recruiting, training, performance, and budgeting.
• Develop and implement shrink reduction plans, analyze loss and safety metrics, and manage theft prevention programs.
• Direct internal and external theft investigations, manage cases, and ensure evidence and documentation meet company guidelines.
• Support emergency preparedness, incident response, safety training, and cross-functional partnerships across assigned stores.

Requirements

• 5-8+ years of experience in asset protection, loss prevention, inventory control, or security services; multi-unit experience preferred.
• 5 years of experience managing people leaders.
• WZ certification required; CFI certification preferred.
• Strong analytical, communication, leadership, and decision-making skills; proficiency with exception-based reporting, CCTV, alarm reporting, and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to travel 25%-50%; a valid security license is required in New York City.
