Area Airfield Design Business Class Leader
Primary Location: Tampa, FL; Other Locations: Doral, West Palm Beach, Pensacola, Fort Lauderdale, Tallahassee, Jacksonville, Orlando, FL.
Employment Type: Full-time, Regular.
Responsibilities
- Develop, coordinate, monitor and improve technical competencies of airfield business class staff and products to meet client needs and market drivers.
- Collaborate with area and company operations, marketing and management on business class efforts.
- Lead business class practice and professional discipline groups, as well as project teams.
- Contribute to annual business plan development and partner with market sector and business group leadership to manage business plan goals.
- Recruit, develop and retain aviation staff in accordance with market sector needs and strategy.
- Oversee delivery of project services and deliverables to meet client expectations, workload leveling needs and best‑practice application.
- Ensure design deliverables have technical accuracy and quality control.
- Act as ambassador for internal quality program for airfield design business class services and oversee QA/QC procedures.
- Lead project teams to successfully deliver on a variety of projects.
- Oversee the creation of technical reports, presentations and other materials.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Proficiency in aviation planning and design principles.
- Demonstrated history of leading teams on complex airport/airfield projects.
- Experience with FAA and U.S. DoD aviation design criteria.
- Experience with large, multi‑disciplined programs at hub airports.
- Geographic diversity of experience throughout the U.S.
- Knowledge of the aviation market in Florida, including client relationships and past project experience.
- Excellent analytical, communication, leadership, planning and mentoring skills.
- PMP certification.
- Preference given to local candidates.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a professional, architectural, engineering or closely related field.
- 10 years of experience.
- Commitment to quality, improvement and HDR values.
- Maintenance of a professional or engineering registration and related technical experience.
- Experience in development and management of diverse teams.
- Cooperative work with other area business class leaders, operations managers, technical directors and marketing managers on business class efforts.
- Commitment to active participation in an employee‑owned culture.
