ARDMS (OB) Ultrasound Technician
Multiple Shifts | Schedules Available | Full-Time
** Sign-on Bonus Up-to $6,000 **
MLR is searching for a skilled and empathetic Ultrasound Tech to join our team in Southern Connecticut. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of ultrasound procedures, upholding high imaging standards, and delivering exceptional patient care.
Primary Responsibilities for an Ultrasound Tech:
  • Conduct diagnostic ultrasound examinations, including abdominal, obstetric, gynecologic, and vascular studies.
  • Operate and maintain ultrasound machines and related equipment.
  • Prepare patients for procedures, explaining the process and addressing any concerns.
  • Ensure patient comfort and safety during examinations.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to interpret and review imaging results.
Qualifications for an Ultrasound Tech:
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field.
  • Certification by the ARDMS (OB) (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography) is required to be obtained within the first year of hire.
  • 2 years of experience working as an Ultrasound Technician ( preferred, not required ).
  • Proficiency in various ultrasound techniques and the use of equipment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
