Pay Rate: $27-$30.50/Hour Hours: 36.25 Hours/Week, Full Time, Hybrid After 90 days - 1 Day/Week remote or 4 day work week!Key ResponsibilitiesProcess AP, AR, receipts, and journal entries using accounting softwareReconcile bank accounts and monitor cash flowComplete month-end/year-end journal entriesPrepare financial reports and ensure GAAP and organizational complianceFinancial SupportAssist bookkeepers and administrators with reports and issue resolutionReview bank reconciliations and monitor cash before check runsProcess ACH and Positive Pay transactionsReporting & AnalysisPrepare audit schedules and financial statementsAnalyze accounts and review AP, AR, and payroll activitySupport budget and financial performance reportingAdditional ResponsibilitiesManage vendor setup and 1099 preparationTrain new bookkeeping staff and provide backup supportImprove accounting processes and policiesRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferredStrong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office SuiteExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keepingPreferred QualificationsExperience with multi-location accounting operationsKnowledge of non-profit accounting principlesExperience with bank reconciliations and cash managementPrevious experience in training and mentoring staffThe Salvation Army is an equal opportunity employer.
