AR Specialist - Physician Billing

To support healthcare providers, the full-time AR Specialist - Physician Billing will manage the entire claim lifecycle, including eligibility verification, claim submission, and accounts receivable follow-up, while working remotely. Key responsibilities: Verify insurance coverage and benefits, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance with payer guidelines Submit clean claims directly to payers, resolving any front-end claim edits and errors at the source system level Research and resolve claim denials and underpayments, preparing appeals and collaborating with cross-functional teams as needed Required qualifications: High School Diploma or GED; CRCR or CRCS certification preferred 3-5 years of experience in hospital and/or physician revenue cycle roles, with expertise in at least two key areas Hands-on experience submitting claims directly to payers via Medicare DDE/FISS and state Medicaid portals Comprehensive knowledge of UB-04 and CMS-1500 claim forms, including revenue codes and modifier usage Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel for data management and reporting
