Reviewing insurance accounts and identifying overpayments, the full-time AR Refund Specialist will evaluate refund requests and ensure compliance with policies while working remotely. Key responsibilities Review refund/overpayment requests to determine overpayment occurrences Resolve credit balances through account corrections and manual refund check requests Collaborate with revenue cycle teams to identify trends and improve efficiency in handling credit balances Required qualifications Associate's degree in accounting, business, finance, or equivalent experience in revenue management within healthcare 1-3 years of experience in a healthcare or managed care environment 1 year of experience handling complex refunds to insurance Knowledge of physician reimbursement and managed care claim payment issues Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial analysis related to physician reimbursement
