AP/AR Clerk

Job Type: Full-Time, Temporary / Contract
Pay: $24/hour

We are currently working with an established manufacturing company in the Derby area that is seeking an AP/AR Clerk to join their team on a temporary basis. This is a great opportunity for someone with general office and accounting experience who is looking for a hands-on role with a stable organization.

About the Role

The AP/AR Clerk will support both accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, along with general administrative and accounting responsibilities. The ideal candidate will be organized, dependable, comfortable communicating with customers and vendors, and able to stay on top of follow-up.

Responsibilities

• Receive and process invoices by mail and email
• Match invoices with receiving documentation and enter invoices into the accounting system
• Prepare and send customer invoices and monthly statements
• Follow up with customers regarding outstanding balances and collections
• Monitor customer accounts and assist with placing accounts on credit hold when necessary
• Run weekly accounting and receivables reports
• Communicate regularly with customers and vendors regarding invoices, payments, and account questions
• Assist with closing out completed jobs, including both accounting and production-related information
• Maintain accurate accounting records and documentation
• Assist with additional administrative and accounting projects as needed

Qualifications

• General office experience with the ability to handle basic accounting functions
• Prior accounts payable and accounts receivable experience
• Strong communication and follow-up skills
• Good attention to detail and organization
• Reliable and dependable with a strong work ethic
• Comfortable communicating with customers and vendors
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and stay on top of deadlines
• Interest in a long-term opportunity

Preferred Qualifications

• Bookkeeping experience
• Experience working with an ERP or accounting system
• Manufacturing or other industry experience
