AR & Credit Operations ConsultantTemporary Engagement • Up to 3 Months • Consultant / ContractSonance / Dana Innovations • San Clemente, CAAbout the EngagementSonance is seeking an experienced Credit & Accounts Receivable professional to support day-to-day AR operations on a temporary consulting basis. This is a hands-on, roll-up-your-sleeves engagement that sits within our current finance and operations structure.As a consultant in this role, you will integrate directly into our team — not as a bystander, but as an active contributor. You will help maintain business continuity, identify gaps, and bring a fresh, objective perspective to our AR and credit processes.

We value adaptability, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to add immediate, tangible value in a fast-moving environment.The ideal candidates are comfortable with ambiguity, able to context-switch fluidly across priorities, and experienced enough to make sound, independent judgments while keeping leadership informed.Key ResponsibilitiesDay-to-day responsibilities may include any combination of the following, and are subject to change based on business needs:AR Operations & CollectionsManage customer accounts and accounts receivable aging portfoliosConduct collection activities via phone and email outreachMonitor past-due balances and recommend collection strategiesProcess credit applications and customer account setupsAccount Reconciliation & Dispute ResolutionPerform account reconciliations and resolve payment discrepanciesInvestigate and resolve disputed invoicesSupport cash application and payment research as neededCredit & Order ManagementReview and evaluate customer credit riskRelease and hold customer orders based on established credit protocolsCollaboration & Continuous ImprovementPartner with sales, customer service, and accounting teams to resolve issuesAssist with month-end close activities related to ARMaintain accurate customer records and documentationIdentify opportunities to improve AR and credit processes — and help implement themEngagement TermsDuration: Up to 3 months from start dateType: Temporary / Consulting ContractFull-Time Conversion: Not guaranteed. At Sonance's sole discretion, if applicable.Reporting: May vary; you may report to multiple individuals during the engagementLocation: San Clemente, CABy applying for this role, you acknowledge that you have read and understood the temporary nature of this engagement and the terms outlined above.RequirementsQualifications5+ years of Accounts Receivable, Credit, Collections, or Order-to-Cash experienceDemonstrated experience managing customer aging portfoliosStrong account reconciliation skillsExperience making credit decisions and releasing ordersProficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft ExcelExcellent communication and customer service skillsAbility to work independently and prioritize multiple responsibilities with minimal directionManufacturing, distribution, or wholesale industry experience preferredWhat We're Looking ForThis engagement is not a passive support role.
