Aquarium Department Position
Do you have a passion for aquariums and a solid understanding of fishkeeping? We're looking for a dependable, knowledgeable individual to join our Aquarium Department. This position is ideal for someone with hands-on aquarium experience who enjoys working with both livestock and customers. You'll play an important role in maintaining healthy fish systems while helping customers make informed decisions for their aquariums.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain freshwater and saltwater aquarium systems.
- Care for live fish, corals, and aquatic livestock.
- Perform routine tank maintenance and water changes.
- Test water quality and monitor livestock health.
- Assist customers with livestock selection and aquarium care.
- Receive and acclimate new livestock shipments.
- Keep the department clean, organized, and well-stocked.
Qualifications:
- Base knowledge of freshwater and/or saltwater aquariums is required.
- Ability to identify common fish species and understand their care requirements.
- Friendly, professional customer service skills.
- Reliable, motivated, and able to work independently.
- Retail experience is a plus, but not required.
