Nurse Practitioner/PA - Electrophysiology Cardiology Inpatient / Outpatient

Heart Rhythm Consultants is growing and we are looking for a highly motivated and experienced out‑patient/inpatient Cardiology Nurse Practitioner/PA to join our team.

These clinics and hospitals are located in Sarasota/Venice. The candidate must have board certification and relevant routine experience in 2 of the last 4 years with at least 500 acute‑care inpatient encounters or have graduated in the past 18 months or be a board‑certified adult/acute nurse practitioner graduated by July 2024 with relevant routine experience in 2 of the last 4 years including at least 1000 acute‑care inpatient encounters.

Responsibilities

• Office visits.
• Assist in the management and treatment of Atrial Fibrillation patients in the outpatient and inpatient settings.
• Perform inpatient rounding.
• Appropriately admit and discharge patients.
• Accept patient transfers.
• Provide immediate preoperative care and postoperative care, including all orders, charting, and consents.
• Proactively identify complications, encompassing medical and surgical complications, and communicate findings.
• Assist with continuity of patient care by troubleshooting and assessing clinical issues in both the inpatient and outpatient setting.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Prefer two years of experience working as NP/PA in a related field.
• Master's degree in Nursing; graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• Unrestricted APN - Nurse Practitioner License in FL (DORA).
• DEA license.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications issued by the American Heart Association (AHA).

Skills

• General health care and cardiovascular patient assessment and exam skills.
• Electrophysiology experience.
• Ability to function independently.
