We offer meaningful, challenging work; comprehensive training and career advancement opportunities; and a competitive compensation and benefits package designed to recognize and reward your contributions.Responsibilities:Learn, according to applicable apprenticeship standards for Press Technology, the knowledge and skills necessary to receive state certified journeyman's papers upon completion of the program (typically 3 years)Learn to install, align, and lock dies into rams or beds of machinesSet-up, operate and monitor progressive stamping die presses that punch, crimp, bend, etc.

to make quality metal partsTest and adjust machine feeds and speeds. Record operational, quality, and shipping documentationClean and lubricate machinesRegular attendance for on-site apprenticeship classesFollow all safety and quality programs and proceduresQualificationsQualifications:Candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent; some vocational-technical training preferredHigh level of technical, mechanical and math abilityDesire to learn and ability to apply knowledge to on-the-job tasksAble to regularly attend required, on-site apprenticeship classesAble to work independently and as part of a teamService attitude, commitment to safety and qualityMust be able to work rotating shifts (day, afternoon and midnight)Able to lift a minimum of 40 lbs. and stand for 8 -9.5 hours per shiftCompensation & benefits: Penn United Technologies currently employs over 650 people in our employee-owned precision manufacturing company, located about 35 miles northeast of Pittsburgh in Butler County.
