As an Apprentice Plumber, you will work under the guidance of a licensed plumber to assist with installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems across the college campus. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience while advancing your skills toward full journeyman certification.
Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in installing, repairing, and maintaining water supply lines, drainage systems, and plumbing fixtures.
  • Support preventative maintenance schedules to ensure reliable operation of plumbing systems.
  • Learn and follow building codes, safety standards, and campus regulations.
  • Operate basic plumbing tools and equipment under supervision.
  • Assist with troubleshooting plumbing issues and recommending solutions.
  • Maintain cleanliness of work areas and proper storage of tools and materials.
  • Document work performed and report findings to the lead plumber or supervisor.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required; trade school coursework a plus.
  • Some prior plumbing, maintenance, or construction experience preferred but not required.
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in a variety of environments (indoor, outdoor, confined spaces).
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work both independently and in a team environment.
