This role involves performing both preventive and corrective maintenance on various plumbing systems, assisting with layout and installation tasks, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities

  • Provide timely updates and follow-ups to departments requesting plumbing services.
  • Perform general plumbing repairs, installations, and maintenance while maintaining accurate documentation.
  • Prioritize and manage routine and ongoing maintenance projects to meet facility needs and regulatory compliance.
  • Monitor and document progress, costs, safety issues, and compliance related to plumbing projects.
  • Plan plumbing work including estimating supply and labor costs.
  • Communicate effectively with users and management regarding repair and maintenance activities.
  • Adhere strictly to all safety standards and maintain clean, organized work and storage areas.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ensure departmental compliance with codes and regulations.

Education
High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Technical or vocational training in plumbing is necessary.
Experience
Minimum of two years of commercial plumbing experience is required.
Certifications
Medical Gas Certification and Backflow Certification are preferred but not mandatory.
Mental and Physical Requirements
Must be able to stand, walk, sit, and lift up to 75 lbs. Good eyesight and steady hands are essential. Ability to perform under stress and wear an N-95 mask as required.
Working Conditions
Work may involve exposure to patients and various environmental conditions including heat, cold, noise, chemicals, infectious diseases, and hazardous waste.
