This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in mechanical repair, maintenance, fabrication, and manual machining while building a long-term career in the skilled trades.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist mechanics and manual machinists with maintenance, repair, fabrication, machining, and assembly projects.
• Learn to safely operate hand tools, power tools, measuring instruments, and shop equipment.
• Support the disassembly, inspection, repair, adjustment, and reassembly of mechanical equipment.
• Perform basic maintenance tasks such as lubrication, cleaning, adjustments, and component replacement.
• Learn to identify and troubleshoot mechanical issues.
• Assist with setup and operation of:
  • Manual lathes, milling, drill presses, grinders,saws,
• Gain experience in manual machining processes including:
  • Turning, facing, drilling, boring, milling, threading, tapping

Required Skills:

• Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
• Machining, maintenance, manufacturing, or industrial trades.
• Ability to follow instructions and work safely.
• Dependable, motivated, and eager to develop new skills.
• Ability to work in a hands-on shop environment.
