We are looking for individuals who desire to do precision work and provide prompt and efficient services to internal and external customers.
This is an in-house certificate program leading to Journeyworker title upon completion of the 4-year training program.ResponsibilitiesLearn to operate and understand manual and CNC grinding equipmentLearn to grind carbide components according to exact blueprint specificationsRead prints & job orders to determine dimensions and machine set-upCalculate and set controls to regulate machining factors or enter commands to retrieve, input or edit computerized machine control mediaEnsure proper grade segregation is practiced at all work stationsVerify conformance of finished work piece to specifications using precision measuring devices (such as micrometers, calipers, gauges, etc.)Report to work on time and ready to learn and accomplish tasksAttend on-site apprenticeship classes in addition to on-the-job learning while performing responsibilities on the shop floor.
