Your role ensures that patients receive timely access to the care they need, contributing directly to an efficient and organized clinic environment.
You'll work under general supervision to provide seamless scheduling support, acting as a crucial point of contact for patients seeking medical services.Every day you will manage a high volume of phone calls, carefully scheduling a variety of patient appointments while conducting pre-certifications to confirm insurance coverage. You'll communicate essential information to patients regarding their appointments and necessary procedure instructions, meticulously collect accurate insurance and personal data, and may assist with collecting co-pays or co-insurance. Your diligent work helps to streamline the patient journey from initial contact through to treatment, ensuring clarity and convenience for every individual.To be successful in this patient access specialist role, you will need at least two years of related experience in a fast-paced healthcare environment, demonstrating exceptional organizational skills and the ability to follow instructions precisely.
